Brief Origin of Disney Springs Orlando story
Disney Springs is inspired by actual coastal towns in Florida such as St. Augustine. Each neighborhood is designed to reflect its specific function and the time period it represents.
According to the fictional history of the town, Disney Springs was established during the mid-1800s by a cattle rancher who stumbled upon the springs that gave the town its name. As time passed, the town gradually expanded outward from these springs.
If you look carefully there are lots of hints when you look both at the exteriors as well as inside the buildings.
Before it was Disney Springs, there was Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island at these locations.
Town Center of Disney Springs
If you’re in the mood for a shopping spree or a delightful dining experience, look no further than the Town Center with its stunning Spanish Revival architecture from the 1920s.
Town Center also home to some artificial “springs”. They may not be natural, but these man-made springs bring a calming atmosphere to the vibrant Town Center. Nature meets Disney magic.
Shopping in Town Center of Disney Springs
Get ready for a shopping extravaganza at Town Center. This is a newer renovated area of Disney Springs that is custom made for shopping.
