Hi, my name is Samir and welcome to my Virtual World.
So, what is my virtual world?
- Traveling the world
- Filming it with a 360 camera
- Watching 360 videos in a virtual reality headset
I travelled the world for decades ( I’m 50+) and was lucky that my parents enjoyed travelling even when I was young so I got to see a lot of the world ( see all the places I have been).
Since 2017 I’ve had a 360 camera and have been filming during my travels and I’ve started a Youtube channel for those 360 videos.
Here on this website I have associated written guides for those places I have visited.
Since I have been one of the early adopters of 360 cameras, I will also tell you my experience with them including buying guides and tutorials.
Travel
I live in the Orlando area so that is my main focus for my website, but I have videos from all around the world on my Youtube Channel.
The travel articles are broken up into my homebase around Orlando, then state of Florida, and then USA, and then the world.
360 Camera
I’ve owned multiple 360 cameras over the years starting with my Ricoh Theta in 2017 before moving to Insta360 One X, and then the X2 and X3.
I’ll have guides here for you on tips, buying suggestions, and tutorials on 360 cameras.
Virtual Reality Headsets
You can watch the 360 videos on a VR headset such as Oculus Meta Quest 3 headset to truly experience 360 VR in the best way.
However its not required to have a VR headset to watch 360 videos.
In fact most of the time I am watching the videos on YouTube, either on PC or phone.
AI : Virtual Assistant
Virtual world extends to virtual assistants.
AI = artificial intelligence, which are virtual assistants.
AI programs can help with editing and enhancing my photos and videos such as Topaz and Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
AI can even create art for my projects.
And they can help me write and edit my blogs, such as Jasper or Content at Scale and even Microsoft 365.
AI helps in everyday life and work such as Bing AI search and ChatGPT.
