Your Guide to Fun Spot Kissimmee in 2023 (with video)

If you are looking for a good old fashioned amusement park with lots of fun rides, then Fun Spot America Kissimmee theme park in Florida is the place to go.

It’s got roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, a carousel, and carnival games and food and an arcade and more.

This guide will cover it all for your trip to the Orlando area and I filmed it with my 360 camera.

I’ve got a virtual walk video through entire circle of Fun Spot so you can follow along and see all the rides below. I also have pictures of the top attractions.

The lake sits right in the middle as you can see in the map and video below.

Info on Fun Spot America Kissimmee

Location

2850 Florida Plaza Blvd. Kissimmee, FL 34746

Its right off Highway 192 and right near the Disney Parks in the heart of the Orlando tourist corridor.

There is also a sister park called Fun Spot America Orlando just up the road.

Park hours include opening at 2pm on weekdays and 12 pm on weekends and closing at midnight but check schedule for seasonal changes.

Tickets

The best part is that parking and admission into the park are FREE!

Tickets can be bought for each individual ride or as a single day pass.
Most rides are $5 with the roller coasters being $10, but the Skycoaster is $40! 😮

The day pass includes all rides all day except the Skycoaster and is $54.95 but for just $10 more you get one ride on the Skycoaster also.

The season pass is for the current calendar year and costs $109.95 but includes access to all 3 Fun Spots including the one right up the street in Orlando. This makes it a very affordable experience for locals.

Check their website for updated prices for tickets and other passes.

Rides

I’ll be walking by all these rides in my video if you want a closer look.

Go Karts

Go Karts are ever popular, and the multi-level Chaos track and Vortex Track take it to a new level, and kids over 36” can go with an adult.

Roller Coaster

There are 3 roller coasters here including the Mine Blower (a wooden roller coaster), Hurricane, and Galaxy Spin.

Thrill rides

The world’s tallest Skycoaster at 300 ft of pure terror now has a sky sled option as well. It’s the super tall poles above the lake in my video and on map.

There are also many other classic thrill rides as well including spinning around in Rock & Roll, swing back and forth in Hot Seat, or circling in the air in Screaming Eagles.

Family rides

Family friendly rides also are here including classics such as bumper cars, swings, Ferris wheel, Carousel, and even a kiddie coaster and Scooby Do themed obstacle course.

Chauffeur Pass

There is even a chauffeur pass for adults to get on certain rides where child needs chaperone and height requirement. It is included free in the child day pass. It’s a wonderful way for adults to go on some rides free if they aren’t interested in all the rides.

Midway games

The arcade has games where you can win tickets to redeem for prizes.

Also, there are classical Midway games including Balloon Bust with darts, Hot Shot basketball, and Water Gun Fun with a chance to win prizes.

What to eat

All the food options here are what you would expect from carnival fare, fast food such as burgers, fries, hot dogs, and tacos.

Dining plan Fun Spot

They do have a one-day dining plan that makes sense if you are spending the entire day there since you get two whole meals and one snack for $24.99 and is only available online and not available in park.

However, Old Town shopping area is immediately next door (walk over basically connected) and has many sit-down dining options if you don’t want midway style fast food.

Fun Spot Kissimmee vs Fun Spot Orlando

Fun Spot America has 2 locations in this area, and both are the same price for the day pass, and they have different as well as overlapping rides.

Orlando location includes a Splash Pad for kids and Gator Spot in partnership with Gatorland.

Kissimmee location has a leg up on the thrill rides and is adjacent to Old Town so more overall options of what to do for the day besides rides such as bars, restaurants, and shopping.

Fun Spot America vs Theme Parks (Disney, Universal)

If you are willing to pay more to go on fewer rides and wait in long lines and tolerate huge crowds, then the big Theme Parks are the way to go 😊

To be fair, the theme parks have more modern and sophisticated attractions and rides. They also have a nicer manicured overall ambiance and more options for themed and higher end dining as well as all the popular characters and movies.

But if you are just looking to have a wonderful time riding thrill rides multiple times with little to no wait time, then Fun Spot is for you!  And there is no entrance fee or parking fee to boot, for those who just want to enjoy while family rides.

So on your next vacation, go to Fun Spot!

Where to stay

Since the park is right near Disney and highway 192, there are many places to stay nearby.

Comfort Suites Maingate East – at back right next to parking lot

Celebration Suites – right off main road

Things to do nearby

Fun Spot is connected to Old Town Kissimmee, so it has easy access to those restaurants, bars, old time shops, and other activities. I wrote this article covering Old Town Kissimmee with a walking video if you want more information.

There is Pirate’s Cove Adventure golf across the street.

And of course, being in Orlando there are major theme parks all around : Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios, Sea World and I Drive.
