Throughout the article, I will also highlight some of the best tours that I have come across during my research, so if you feel inspired by what you see in the video and guide, you can book one of those activities.

The Imperial Belvedere Palace in Vienna, Austria is a stunning Baroque architectural masterpiece. Located in the heart of Vienna, the palace complex consists of two palaces – the Upper Belvedere and Lower Belvedere – as well as an Orangery, Palace Stables and extensive gardens.

Visitors can explore 800 years of art history inside its walls, marvel at its grand architecture or simply stroll through its lush gardens. On display are masterpieces by renowned artists such as Klimt, Schiele, Funke, Messerschmidt and van Gogh.

A visit to Belvedere Palace (Schloss Belvedere) is sure to be an unforgettable experience for any traveler.

It’s not very far from the city center and is a short walk from the Ringstrasse. In fact, that’s how I went to the palace myself.

The Belvedere Gardens in Vienna

• The Gardens boast over 200 acres of greenery, a botanical garden, fountains and sculptures.

• It is an example of late Baroque garden design.

• The three-tiered garden was laid out in classical French Versailles style

• The gardens are located overlooking historic downtown Vienna

As you can see in my 360 VR video, the tiered gardens extend all the way between both the upper and lower Belvedere palaces and there is a fountain in the center.

  • The Hochstrahlbrunnen is a fountain located in Vienna, Austria. It sits at one end of Schwarzenbergplatz square, just in front of the giant memorial to the Red Army.
  • It is an imposing water fountain which looks like a geyser with pseudo-natural rocks in a circular pool.
