See before you go! Watch 360 travel videos before you book tours
Do you dream of traveling the world but don’t know where to start? Now you can use 360 travel videos to help you make an informed decision of where to tour before you go for real!
“See, before you go!“
In fact, I’ve been shooting videos from around the world with my 360 camera ( Insta360 X3), and in this article I will:
- Show an example 360 video and photo
- Link to associated written guide for a travel video example
- Tell you benefits why you need to do this
- Get comfortable booking a tour
I have booked and taken many tours in the past and I always like to see more of the area and sights before I am ready to book, and 360 videos and photos help with that.
With 360 videos, it has never been easier to preview destinations, research information, and get a better sense of what your dream vacation could look like.
These videos can be watched on a smartphone or tablet or PC, and do not require a VR headset ( although it is more immersive in the headset)
Way better than using just Google maps or reading or pictures alone.
In addition, on my website, I have articles discussing the contents of the 360 travel videos and providing further information about the destination such as maps and pictures and additional locations.

Reasons why using 360 travel videos can help you decide whether a particular place is worth visiting:
1) Get an inside look at various locations to visit before making a final decision.
Before you decide on your next holiday destination, why not take a 360 VR tour? Get an up-close look at potential places to visit and explore the sites. Check out the attractions available and get a feel of what it’s like.
Here are some tips on the best ways to watch 360 VR travel videos.
2) Learn about each location’s unique atmosphere.
Gone are the days of relying on static photos and videos to make a decision on where to travel. With 360 VR, you can take an interactive, immersive look.
You can see all around, to see the good and the bad, of what that area is really like.
Pictures and regular videos don’t always show the entire scene, and the area behind the camera may not be something you expected.
Here is my walk around Hofburg Palace in Vienna where you can see for yourself in all directions whether this looks like a place you would want to visit.
3) Make an educated decision about which destination is worth your time and money.
Virtual reality videos offer a unique way to plan your next trip.
With 360 tours, you can gain a perspective of far-flung places and figure out if they’re right for you – no need to worry about booking expensive plane tickets or accommodation just yet!
Not only will this save time, but it will also help to give you a better idea of the destinations that interest you the most.
4) Uncover hidden gems that may not have been on your list originally.
With 360 videos, see hidden gems before visiting them or check out locations you’ve never heard of, while gaining a better understanding of how they look and feel from the comfort of your own home.
By taking a virtual tour as part of your decision-making process, you’ll be better equipped to find places to visit that may not have initially appeared on your radar, so you can feel comfortable booking a tour.
Take a look at this article on tips on how to watch 360 travel videos including on VR headsets.
5) Gear up for the real tour
With 360 videos, you’ll know what to expect and be able to hit the ground running when you arrive at your dream destination!
Using 360 virtual reality videos can provide invaluable insight into what makes each destination special – helping ensure that your next adventure turns out exactly how you envisioned it!
And hopefully with my blog, in association with the 360 VR travel videos, you can make an informed decision on which tours to book.
